Matthew D. Martin III
An experienced and acclaimed trial attorney, Matthew D. Martin III focuses his practice on the representation of those who have been injured due to negligence and abuse in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals, and other healthcare centers. With experience as a former defense lawyer, he brings a deep and unique perspective that allows for more effective legal representation inside and outside of the civil courtroom.
Matthew attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated with his B.A. in 2003. He went on to earn his M.A. in American Legal History and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2006. After law school, Matthew worked at a successful insurance defense firm for 8 years. While there, he gained invaluable experience and insight regarding the other side of medical malpractice and nursing home negligence lawsuits.
In 2015, Matthew decided to follow his passion for helping others and went into private practice. At Martin + Fielding, Matthew focuses his practice primarily on medical malpractice and nursing home abuse. He also handles cases involving catastrophic personal injuries, birth injuries, and insurance bad faith.
Through his years in practice, Matthew has been recognized numerous times by respected organizations. He has been selected to the Oklahoma Rising Stars list every year since 2011, and he was selected as one of the Top 10 Personal Injury Attorneys Under 40 in Oklahoma by the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys. In addition, the American Society of Legal Advocates selected him as one of the Top 40 Litigation Lawyers Under 40 in Oklahoma in 2016.
Matthew is more than just a skilled litigator who fights for justice on behalf of the injured. He believes in open communication with his clients so they get the much-needed support they need. During these difficult times, Matthew is committed to offering compassionate support along with aggressive legal counsel.
